MISSION

CIRCLE THRIFT SEEKS TO BRING HOPE TO THE CHALLENGES OF 21ST CENTURY URBAN LIFE

We strive to accomplish this by sharing God’s love, providing inexpensive clothing, creating jobs, building community and relationships, and providing funds to support our partners.

As a compassion team of  Circle of Hope,  Circle Thrift is an expression of the church.  Circle of Hope has deployed many teams to express our compassion and our desire to serve. None of the teams are a “program” of the church, but they are all an expression of the life of the Spirit in the body of Christ. They start with an inspiration and form when enough people want to join together to express God’s leading.

PROVIDING INEXPENSIVE CLOTHING
While Circle Thrift does sell some really interesting vintage wear, our primary goal is to provide quality clothing and merchandise to those in need.   Half of everything on the sales floor is always on sale and we make every effort to only put quality items on the shelves.

CREATING JOBS
Circle Thrift intends to create as many paid employee positions as financially possible. Most importantly employees will be provided a safe environment where they can experience and share God’s love.

BUILDING COMMUNITY AND RELATIONSHIPS

Circle Thrift hopes to build meaningful relationships with the community around our stores. We hope to do this by establishing relationships that go deeper than business with our customers and neighbors. We hope that many relationships will be taken to an even deeper level within the Circle of Hope Congregations.

FUNDING FOR OUR PARTNERS
Circle Thrift is a member of the MCC Thrift Shop Network; each store in this network  provides  funds to MCC for their many compassionate efforts around the world .  To learn more about MCC and their mission visit http://www.mcc.org.  It is a goal of Circle Thrift to also provide Circle of Hope with funds needed to sustain and start new compassionate efforts within Philadelphia and New Jersey.   We also reserve 5% of our profits for our neighbors and neighborhood projects.
